If there’s a name you know in the web hosting world, Bluehost is probably at the top with Inmotion and wpxhosting. It started in 1996 which makes it old by web standards, but I still love them.
In this article, I take you behind the scenes and show you the features through my account. I’ll also be sharing a special offer to host manual visitors only at the bottom of this page (you can get a price of $ 2.95 instead of the normal $ 3.95 / month).
By the time you finish reading this review, you’ll know what to expect from Bluehost and (just as importantly) what NOT to expect from someone.
Without a doubt, they’ve built a solid reputation over the years, especially among those who are concerned with WordPress hosting.
Ready to find out more? We’ll go deeper into the details in our Bluehost review. Let’s start with some quick facts.
The plans seem cheap at first glance, plus not all of them are as cheap as they seem. You can start too but that $ 2.95 for me with health sharing if you definitely join the deal as this one. Otherwise, the starter plan costs $ 7.99 per month, which is still quite reasonable. Plus WP plans are quite expensive, starting at $ 12.49 per month.
Get unlimited bandwidth with all accounts.
The startup plan consisted of 100 message elements. The Plus and Business Pro plans offer unlimited email accounts.
Get only $ 200 bonus with the marketing offer.
Improved cPanel makes it easier to set up and control your sites (see a demo here).

When you’re done reading this review, you’ll know what to expect from Bluehost and (equally important) what NOT to expect from them.
Without a doubt, they have built a solid reputation over the decades, especially when it comes to WordPress hosting.
They are listed as one of the official recommended hosting providers for WordPress blogs and offer a host of great tools, bonuses, and resources for WordPress clients.

Types of web hosting Bluehost
Bluehost offers five main types of hosting plans:
If you’re looking for something basic and inexpensive, shared hosting is probably what you need. This is what most beginners and small businesses look for. Dedicated hosting is the most expensive option, suitable for large commercial companies that need full control of their resources.
With dedicated hosting, you are essentially renting a physical server. VPS hosting is an intermediate option where you share a physical server with others, but you have your virtual operating system, so the server works as if it were physically yours. WordPress hosting is of course what it sounds like: optimized hosting for WordPress clients. Let’s take a look at the plan tiers for each.
Basic: Starting at $ 3.49 per month, this plan upgrades to $ 7.99 per month at regular price.
Plus: this plan typically costs $ 10.99 per month.
Choice Plus: This plan costs $ 23.99 per month.
These prices are pretty good. But with this offer, you can be sure of getting the best price! At the basic level, you get a website, 50GB of space, and unlimited bandwidth. You also get one domain, five parked domains, and 25 subdomains. Additional features include 5 email accounts with 100MB of storage each.
With the Plus or Choice Plus plans, you get unlimited websites and unlimited space and bandwidth, which is amazing. You get one domain included and you can have an unlimited number of domains and subdomains parked.
Email accounts and storage are unlimited, as well as $ 200 in marketing offers. Plus, it includes Global CDN and a SpamExperts (over $ 24 per year in additional benefits).
The highest level plan is Business Pro. Includes up to $ 180 in additional annual benefits, including two SpamExperts, premium SSL, dedicated IP address, domain privacy, improved performance, and SiteBackup Pro.
Standard: $ 19.99 the first month, up to $ 29.99 thereafter
Upgraded: $ 29.99 the first month, up to $ 59.99 thereafter
Ultimate: $ 59.99 the first month, up to $ 119.99 thereafter
These prices correspond to the typical costs of VPS hosting in the industry. The speed for the first two planes is 2 processor cores, up to three and four cores for the upper plane. You get 30 GB of SAN storage at the lowest level, up to 120 GB at the highest level. RAM varies from 2 GB to 8 GB. You get 1 TB of bandwidth on the Standard level, up to 3 TB on the Ultimate level. Each level includes a domain. The Standard level includes an IP address; you have two with the rest. Every plan is backed by 24/7 support and a money back guarantee.
Standard: $ 79.99 the first month, $ 119.99 per month thereafter.
Improved: $ 99.99 the first month, $ 159.99 per month thereafter.
Premium: $ 119.99 the first month, $ 209.99 per month thereafter.
With the Standard plan or the Enhanced plan, you get a 4 x 2.5 GHz processor. The Premium plan gives you a 4 x 3.3 GHz processor. Storage ranges from 500GB to 1TB (mirrored) and RAM starts at 4GB on the Standard tier, up to 16GB on the Premium tier. You get 5TB of bandwidth at Standard, 10TB at Upgraded, and 15TB at Premium. One domain is included with each plan. You get three IP addresses on Standard, four on Enhanced, and five on Premium. All plans are backed by 24/7 service and a money back guarantee.
WordPress Hosting(Best Cheap Web Hosting)
Basic: Starting at $ 2.95 with a 36-month subscription
Plus: Starts at $ 5.45 / month with a 36-month subscription
Choice Plus – Starts at $ 5.45 / month with a 36-month subscription
These plans are similar to their shared hosting plans and the cost is the same.
However, at the end of 2018, Bluehost introduced a new category: WordPress Pro.
These plans are quite expensive compared to your simple WordPress hosting and what some competitors offer (many web hosts sell WordPress hosting plans for the same price as general purpose shared hosting plans).
However, WordPress Pro on Bluehost is a big company and one of the most popular services in the business (with over a million sites hosted by the company).
Pro plans run on high performance VPS and offer improved site speed.
Version-level features include basic Jetpack site scanning, marketing center, es,100 free premium themes daily backups, and malware detection and removal for added security.
The Grow plan is one step ahead with Jetpack Pro. Business review tools allow your visitors to leave positive reviews on Yelp, Google, Yahoo, or Bing for your business right from your site. SEO tools give you real-time optimization advice on how to increase your search engine rankings. It is integrated into the Marketing Center, where you can view statistics on your performance on the major search engines.
The first-level Scale plan gives you integration with Paypal and Elastic Search.
It is worth noting that you get live support with Grow and Scale. Gives you hands-on assistance with design, functionality, or general questions from real WordPress experts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All plans come with Positive Wildcard SSL, 24/7 service, and a money back guarantee. These plans also include automatic plugin updates and regular backups and a testing environment that allows you to build and test your WordPress website before publishing.
Unlimited video compression is a feature that probably isn’t used by many. You can download your videos without optimizing them for the web. Bluehost takes care of that. I didn’t use Bluehost for streaming, but support told me that it has no restrictions on how many videos can be streamed.
These are all cool features, but you might be wondering, “Why should you pay so much for WordPress hosting?” Bluehost plays a very active role in the WordPress community and has a core of developers. This means Bluehost can offer top notch customer support and even solve complex WP issues.
That’s not to say Bluehost is your only or best option. However, hosts like Siteground can compete easily and cheaply.
Free Expert WordPress Migration
Sometimes the only obstacle to migrating your website to better web hosting is the hassle of migration. I have done it many times. Still, I wouldn’t say that I like him very much. Fortunately, Bluehost can take care of that for you if you have a WordPress website. Once you have signed up for one of their plans, this service will be available for free.
Here is a more detailed description with everything you need to know about the FREE migration service.
First search for site migration on Bluehost Marketplace and fill out the site migration form.
Bluehost has developed a WordPress plugin that guides you through the final steps. When done, you should see a screen like this:
You will get a link to your new site to check if everything is working properly. If all is well, you will need to update your DNS settings with your registrar and you are done.
Blue Flash Launch Support
New to Bluehost and WordPress? Bluehost makes it easy to get started with a special feature called Blue Flash Launch Support. This service is completely free with your hosting package. It takes the form of a professional consultation over the phone with a WordPress expert.
With Blue Flash Launch Support, you can enjoy a guided tour of the dashboard so you can identify all of the features and options you can use to publish at a glance. You will have the opportunity to get your questions answered during this orientation phase. Since WordPress can be overwhelming for first-time users, it’s a huge time saver and makes the take-off process a lot more accessible.
When you call, you will be quickly set up with your account and will have the opportunity to choose a theme that matches the style and purpose of your site. The options presented to you will already be considered in advance based on your needs.
Blue Flash Launch support specialists will even offer you suitable plugins. This way, you can take advantage of all that WordPress has to offer for your needs.
The Blue Flash team is available 24/7. This means that no matter where you are, you can quickly get started with WordPress and get started on your website.
If you need more help with WordPress after using this free service, you have the option of subscribing to WP Live Support for $ 99 per month.
Domain Name Email Address
When it comes to building brand awareness and building trust and relationships in the company, an email address with a domain name can go a long way. When you buy a hosting plan from Bluehost, you have the option to sign up for your own domain name email address.
The most basic plan, Email Essentials, which includes email and calendars, Outlook Web Access, and 15GB of email storage. If you get the Business Plus plan, it includes the same features with Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office Online, as well as OneDrive 1TB.
The Business Pro plan adds Microsoft Office for desktop, Access + Publisher for desktop, Outlook Customer Manager, and booking and billing tools.
With all plans, your software is automatically updated and you benefit from the security and recovery services offered through Microsoft Office 365. A simple and easy-to-use interface makes it easy to manage your account with a single connection. There is a 99.9% uptime guarantee and your plan is backed by 24/7 customer support.
Also, you are allowed to use multiple devices to access these programs and tools. This means that no matter where you are, you can log in to manage your account and work on your projects.
Domain name email plans start at a few dollars a month. This is an impressive low cost and adds significant value to your hosting plan.
It’s easy to create an online store with Bluehost, which offers many different baskets: Zen, Cube, Agora, and OS Commerce. You benefit from SSL security for your transactions, a free generated certificate and OpenPGP / GPG encryption.
Unlimited bandwidth sounds good, but I’m pretty sure they would limit your account based on their fair use policy if their website had consistently exceptional traffic. There is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. Bluehost has to pay for the bandwidth you use. This applies to all web servers. I suggest you read my article on bandwidth and disk space.
The $ 200 in free marketing credits is also very useful if you are a store owner. You can use them to promote your business through Google, Facebook, Bing, and Twitter.
That said, Bluehost isn’t particularly well-known for ecommerce, and there are some sites that make it easier and faster to start a store. But Bluehost is an inexpensive option, and you’ll have access to a ton of cool features to help you sell online.
Security is one area where Bluehost excels. You get three layers of spam protection: Spam Experts, Spam Hammer, and Apache Spam Assassin. You also get protection for your inbox; it’s easy to set filters. All your directories are password protected.
If you need to block access to your site, you have the option to blacklist IP addresses. Another great feature is secure shell access (SSH). This allows you to access the configuration files individually and securely.
Bluehost also offers one-click integration with CloudFlare, which provides even more great security features and speeds up your site. CloudFlare is particularly effective in thwarting DDOS attacks.
You also get a lot of upgrade options:
Bluehost covers its plans with a 30 day money back guarantee. This means if you cancel within the first 30 days you will get a full refund. If you choose to cancel after that, you will not receive a pro-rated refund for the period of your hosting period that you have not used. Domain fees are non-refundable. Haven’t tried to get a refund with them yet so can’t comment on how easy it is.
Bluehost makes it easy to set up and manage your website. CPanel’s improved interface is as easy to use as it gets – just click on the icons to get where you need to go.
You can take care of everything with your websites and email addresses in one central location. You can customize the dashboard layout according to your needs. This way you can quickly access your favorite features.
Here’s an area where Bluehost gets mixed reviews. Many customers report positive experiences with fast, helpful, and friendly customer service agents. Unfortunately, there are also many clients who say that they could not get the help they needed even with many phone calls.
Another problem with Bluehost is overselling. It’s a company that likes to try and sell you plugins and updates, and there are many areas where you need plugins for full functionality. This is a problem if you are on a tight budget.
Who is Bluehost Best For?
Customers looking for a reliable web host with a solid reputation. Bluehost is one of the oldest names in the business and has established trust.
WordPress customers who can pay more to access more features and a dedicated support team of WP experts.
Small and large business owners. Bluehost is suitable if you are on a budget and just want general purpose shared hosting. Beware of upselling.
Pros of Bluehost:
Most plans include unlimited disk storage, domain hosting, email addresses, and bandwidth.
You get a free domain name for one year included with your purchase.
The improved cPanel is really easy to use and provides quick access to functions.
Bluehost’s security features are great.
There are many databases available, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, CGI-BIN, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and more.
Tons of free website scripts are available including social media scripts, support for blogs, mailing lists, message boards, Joomla and Drupal, and Tikiwiki.
Ecommerce features are good with multiple shopping carts available and SSL security.
Most customers report that Bluehost is fast. Integrate CloudFlare and you get even better performance.
If you can afford it, WordPress hosting on Bluehost is rated top-notch.
Cons of Bluehost:
While there are many useful plugins available, unfortunately you have to install a lot of them to get all the features you need.
The customer service team receives mixed reviews.
Bluehost loves trying to sell to customers, which can be boring if you’re on a tight budget.
WordPress plans, while very good in terms of functionality, are also very expensive compared to plans offered by many competitors. Inmotion, for example, has a great plan starting at just $ 2.95 per month. That’s less than half the asking price for the lowest tier WP plan offered by Bluehost.
There are many great features and extras included at every price point, and the diversity of plans provides great flexibility for every budget. Whatever your needs, Bluehost offers its plans.
Despite some negative comments, most customers are quite satisfied with Bluehost’s services. There is a reason this company has such a strong reputation for over 20 years of online business!
In short, Bluehost is literally one of the few that I would recommend to anyone. If you are looking for a web host with a solid reputation, look no further than Bluehost. With affordable and scalable plans, you can customize your solution and it is up and running in seconds.
Bluehost is a knockout for a web host – if you can take advantage of the occasional sale (now 50% off), it’s a no-brainer!
