PINTEREST SEO SECRETS EVERY BLOGGER SHOULD KNOW.

Content> Traffic> Customers> Products

I’ll also cover the process by which each bucket flows into the next until they are full and your business is booming.

The problem is that sometimes you don’t fire the bucket as fast as you’d like. They usually slow down somewhere in the middle, between traffic and customers.

Sound familiar?

If you’ve been struggling to grow your traffic and email list, you’re not alone, pal. Many entrepreneurs and bloggers struggle to fill these two buckets.

Luckily, there’s Pinterest.

Pinterest is a great source of traffic for those who use it. In my experience, this is the easiest source of social media traffic. So, today I’m exploring all that Pinterest has to offer you (which I hope is) the ultimate guide to using Pinterest for business.

This is what I will cover:

Pinterest Basics

Why use Pinterest for business?

Part two: find via Pinterest

Create a Pinterest content strategy
Research your keywords
Add keywords anywhere
Pinterest SEO vs Google SEO
Are you ready to dig? Lets do it.

The first part: the most important basics
Step 1) First, why use Pinterest for business?
Because it’s ready to drink! If you still think Pinterest is just for fashion tips and recipes, read on …

Pinterest is a goldmine for business.

If you do it right, you can use up your traffic on Facebook or Instagram. Pinterest is actually very different from FB and IG. First of all, it’s not even a social network.

This is a SEARCH and SOCIAL MACHINE SEARCH SITE.

When people communicate on Facebook and Instagram, people find things through Pinterest. They’re looking for ideas to buy / produce / make … like Google. And Pinterest has 200 billion searches a month. Sorry!

So when your Pins show up for this search, they love it (and Pinterest) too!

Pinterest knows that without you and a content creator like me, Pinteresti wouldn’t exist. And they want to help us reach a wide audience by encouraging others to share our Pins.

There is a social bookmarking component …

Between tribes and group gatherings, you have a great chance of reaching thousands of followers outside of you.

With all this in mind, your Pinterest strategy can point you in the right direction.

Pinterest SEO changes

When you log in to Pinterest, you will see your SmartFeed pins by default (step 3 below).

But what if you want more control over the pins in your stream?

You can download it now with the new Next tab. Allow this to see only the pins of the people you are viewing. It’s located here, in the top menu:
This new feature seems to be designed to encourage you to spend more time on Pinterest by only looking at the Pins that interest you.

Hashtag

Yes. You can use it! And you must. This is the second time there have been Pinterest hashtags, and this time they seem to exist.

Using hash tags increases the likelihood that your new Pins will be distributed to relevant hash tags and seen by more people.

Note that I said * new pin. * Don’t bother going back and adding hash marks to your old pins. The reason is that the hashtag feed takes precedence over freshness. So adding hash marks to old pins doesn’t help them. Now just add it to the new PIN and you are successful.

Image size

Have Infographic Pins Gone Forever?

2: 3 (600 × 900 or 735 × 1102) is recommended.”Otherwise, Pins may see less distribution or reduction in some areas of the Pinterest application. With that in mind, we recommend sticking to a ratio of 2: 3 or less.”

“Before you cut the pins, but now we sometimes do not show them at all if they are very long. Although our best pins are very long right now, remember that they are still running and things look different in different places. look.

But here’s the problem:

My longer pins drive  more traffic and results than my 2: 3 pins. So I agree to roll the dice on the longer pins and do them now. (I made three pins for each post – two are 2: 3 and one is 1: 2)
Private plate
The private administration is where he is now, guys.

Pinterest gives more weight to private boards than group boards because many group members give up their pins without redistributing the group. Bleck.

This type of spam causes little connection to your pins. If you share a low-binding pin, Pinterest can mark your domain as low-quality and start hitting your pins.

That’s why personal whiteboards are so important now. In fact, setting it up correctly is one of the strongest things you can do to get more traffic.

Understand SmartFeed

Your contacts are not listed in chronological order like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Pinterest’s SmartFeed algorithm even evaluates the Pinside based on their quality and relevance before showing. After you filter and evaluate your Pins, they will show up in the stream.

This means that Pinterest shows the “best pins” first, not the * newest pins * first.

Pins with higher scores appear higher in search results and are shown to more people. Bottom point bars appear downstream and may take longer to appear – ONCE.

Before getting into Pinterest’s filtering criteria, let me quickly back up and describe the three groups of Pins that appear on smart channels.

When you log in to the printer, you will see the following pins:

From the people you follow
Related to who you follow
Just like what interests you
Have you ever noticed how the pins in your stream look like the ones you just reposted? It comes from your interest group.

SmartFeed filters at work

When you share a Pin, Pinterest works behind the scenes to decide when (and if) you want to show it, based on the following four criteria:

Domain quality
PIN quality
Quality of pliers
Relevance
The pins are grouped into three categories, then entered through SmartFeed filters, scored and displayed in your stream:

Each filter measures:

Domain quality – this is a measure of your entire domain. How many repetitions, circles, comments, and clicks does the touch of your page normally share?

Pins quality – the metric for each needle. How committed are you?

Quality Pieces – The goal for you as a content curator. Do you share high quality feet with others?

Relevance – The degree of intent of the user. How relevant is the search PIN, user interests, and search history?

Pinterest uses these checkpoints to make sure everyone shares only relevant pins. The higher your score in each category, the better your chances of getting to 1st place and reaching a wide audience with your pins.

In short, you need to be an epic content creator and curator … Create forces and share taps optimized for clicks and searches.

The winning Pinterest SEO strategy combines these three elements:

But first, set up your account correctly. Now I want to take you through the steps!

 Create a Traffic Account

Your Pinterest account, profile, boards and cranes need to be optimized for traffic. If you told Pinterest from the beginning that you are a content creator, you can index and distribute PINs correctly.

So you can do it.

Create a business account first.

The big reason why people do not get traffic from Pinterest is when they otherwise have to confuse their personal Pinterest with their business Pinterest – which also confuses Pinterest.

Remember that Pinterest is a search engine and requires requirements for your common keywords. It’s not like Instagram where you can escape by mixing personal and business posts, * a bit.

Instead, manage your Pinterest accounts just like your Facebook profile and Facebook page. Share personal pins for your personal Pinterest and business cards for your Pinterest business.

Do not think of the two.

When you create a business account, Pinterest knows right away that you are creating content. And you will love it! Because without people like you creating and sharing our content, Pinterest would not exist, and you know it!

Creating a business account is free and you can sign up here. If you decide to personalize your business account, simply go to your account settings and check the transfer option.

Then confirm your account.

Once you have created a business account, the next step is to confirm or “claim” it. You can not miss this step because it is very important!

You can access detailed analysis on Pinterest and Tailwind. Plus, claiming that your site is the first way to make your domain visible to Pinterest. All you are doing here is uploading your Pinterest page, knowing that you are and that you are a blogger and content creator.

It is very easy to control your site. All you have to do is log in to your account and go to Settings. Then scroll down to the Queries section:

As my page is already checked, there will be a bookmark next to my page and the “no application” button will be dimmed. Yours will be red and there will be “Requests”, just enter the URL of your website and click the button.

Then select “Add HTML Bookmark”. Copy the label and select Next.

This tag should be added to the <head> section of your page, which sounds scary, I know. However, there is an easy way to do this with the Yoast SEO Plugin (for WordPress).

Then put up traffic signs.

Definitely, the keyword will create rich tables to help pinterest index pins.

Create general and at least three separate column filling tables for each table category (e.g. trip).
Oh, and do not throw away every keyword you find there! Try to use them organically in whole sets. Here is a description of the Social Media Marketing Forum:
Sounds very natural, but there are a lot of keywords in it.

Now I understand that sometimes it’s easy to add a lot of keywords, and sometimes not. You just have to find the balance between “filling in keywords” and writing in a natural, organic way. After all, real people read the descriptions on your board, so it makes sense.

Note: There are many more boards than I describe here … and these are incredibly important to Pinterest SEO today.

Finally activate the rich pins.

Rich pins confuse many people, including me. I thought that was why my name and logo appeared under my photo pin, but unfortunately it was not! Your name and logo will appear on the pins after you verify your Pinterest domain.

So what exactly is the wealth of pins?

Rich pins do is show mostly the title and meta description of your posts.

Now, as I said before, you do not see any of this metadata in your resource, only the first few descriptive characters you added when you inserted the needle:

When you click on the Extended View pin, you will see the metadata and title:
What is the subject of metadata?

Glad you asked me! It was like a bunch of clothes to me.

Basically, metadata is your meta-title and your meta-description. To break it even further, this is the title of your SEO and your SEO description. Which means they will be the title and description that will appear in Google search results …

These are also the titles and descriptions that Pinterest will display on your pin when you install rich pins on your website.

The great thing about rich pins is the metadata in your post traveling with a pin. When people republish your content, your metadata will be restored. If you update the meta description or title of your post, your pins and repetition will also change (theoretically it may take a while before updating).

From Pinterest:

Use as many rich pins as possible so that your mark and other useful details remain on the pin while it is being saved.

Now that your traffic account is set up and you have a preview of SmartFeed, let’s take a look at Pinterest PIT techniques to help you spot the pins.

Create a Pinterest content strategy

Do you really (really) want to make SmartFeed fun?

Share content with your audience.

Hah! If it were that easy …

First you need to lower the pins to the jaw. Then you need to share them regularly, day by day.

And then…

You can’t just drop pins, cross your fingers and hope for the best! You need to be strategic HOW and WHERE you will share them so people can find them.

What you surely need is a Pinterest content strategy. In the steps below, I will show you exactly what to do.
First, share the killer pins.
There is this visual element that makes Pinterest as incredible as a search engine, perhaps more so than Google. So, let’s face it, Google search results are identical. Everyone who sees it has titles and descriptions without beautiful pictures to help them decide if they should click.

But on top of Pinterest, there are tons of beautiful images that visually show people why they should click. Your job as a content creator is to design graphics that people want to click on your pins instead of others.

What does that mean?

That means doing things like browsing pins on cell phones (at least 65% of your traffic comes from phones), using bold fonts that are easy to read, and using branded graphics and images associated with your post. .
Next, you are ready to blog at heart!

If you are a blogger, you create content regularly. Explode!

Many of my students and clients have difficulty blogging. They expect to share * unique * pins and still jump on Pinterest. But, so, it will not work that way, yes.

Blogging should be a central part of your Pinterest strategy.

Make no mistake about it, I even tried to fool myself about it!

I had a better part of last year creating two courses and could not continue blogging each week. Instead, I once published THE MOUNTAIN.

Now, is ALL traffic lost?

Just let me say that my pins are like working horses, my traffic is steady – * ass. Therefore, I did not lose all of that, but I noticed a case. My list growth has also jumped … from ~ 1,600 subscribers per month to 1,000 or more.

The reason is that the pins have a lifespan. Sure, they can last an hour, six months, a year, even longer, but once people see them over and over again, communication and traffic will decrease.

I have experienced needle fatigue like this and I know it to be true. When you see the same pin in your feed every time you log into Pinterest, you will see it.

However, don’t worry. You just need to know that when you stop blogging and sharing new pins, at some point you will see reduced returns.

If you are short on time and don’t blog regularly, I recommend trying ads on Pinterest, Facebook, or Instagram.
Keywords to research/

There are several ways to explore Pinterest keywords:

Pinterest search guide
Searches by topic
Advertising platform
Guided search on Pinterest

When you search for a keyword in a search engine, Pinterest will show you a list of ideas at the top.

For example, let’s say you want to create a travel plan. This is what Pinterest shows:
All the nice buttons at the bottom of the search bar are suggested keywords. FYI, these additional words should be added to your original keyword, like this:

Travel destination
Travel notes
List of travel baskets
Travel packaging
Travel to the united states
Tips for travelers
Etc.
Pinterest advertising platform

Another way to find keywords is to set up an advertising account, which means you simply put your credit card in a Pinterest archive. Do not worry! You don’t have to campaign. You only need to access the keywords section.

Once you’ve set up your ad account, click Create ad in the top menu and give your campaign a name.

Then scroll down to the keywords section and add a keyword. This is what came back to “social media sites”:
The list of keyword ideas is endless!

Researching keywords this way is great because you can create a master list and store them in a spreadsheet.

Speaking of…

A keyword worksheet will save you a lot of time! You’ve probably linked to similar topics and optimizing for new pins will be easy if you have keywords on hand and you’re ready to go (especially if you share six or seven a week).

 Add keywords everywhere

This is where the tire meets the road. If you have a list of keywords, add them to your profile, dashboard, PIN, blog post, meta title, and more so you’ll NEVER confuse Pinterest.

This is where they should go

1. Your profile

Add keywords to your business name and About You section.

I’m not sure how important keywords are to you, but every time Pinterest gives you the opportunity to use keywords, I say use them!

The keywords in your business name can help you find people when people search on Pinterest.

2. Personal dashboards

I want to have ten keywords for my personal boards. You may not be able to use it all, but it’s easier to start over and cut back.

Oh, and don’t throw away all the keywords you find there! Try to use them organically in complete sentences. Here is the description of my social media marketing dashboard:
This is quite natural, but I have a lot of keywords available.

Now, I realize that sometimes it’s easy to add a lot of keywords and sometimes it’s not. You just want to strike a balance between “keyword filling” and writing in a natural and organic way. After all, real people read their descriptions on the board, so it must make sense.

3. Your pins

Of course you need keywords on your pins!

Now, you probably share pins on similar topics and broadcast with similar keywords, which is fine.

Make sure you don’t use the exact same keywords for each pin as they will vary. You should have a list of keywords that you use frequently. Check it out and choose new ones for different pins.

Oh, and watch your keywords.

It’s likely Pinterest has switched to Google and could start penalizing spammers with keywords. Use them in organic-sounding sentences as if you were writing them to real people.

Also use related keywords (think “specific” and “broad”).

For example:

Blogging about travel and sharing the “itineraries” button can use travel itinerary, backpacking, travel budget planning and the best places in Costa Rica as keywords.

In any case, a description of the keyword rich pins will appear at the bottom of the close-up image:

4. Blog titles + meta descriptions

The image above downloads the blog title and meta description directly from your blog post.

The meta description is 140 characters long and appears below the meta title on Google as follows:
It’s important to include keywords in both places, because Pinterest wants to make sure the content of the PIN matches the content of the linked page. The better the needle match title and description, the easier it will be for Pinterest to figure out where the needle is.

5. Blog posts

I’m not sure how much Pinterest targets the keywords in your blog post, but since these are important to Google, it makes sense that they are important to Pinterest.

Think about it:

If your PIN is associated with a landing page with the same keywords, it gives another indication to Pinterest that this is the keyword I want to post.

This is also another case where the development of Pinterest game will help you find it on Google.

6. Hashtag

Use at least two abstract characters (one wide and one special) for each pin.

Wide abstract markers help you spread out new pins when you first share them. Pinterest uses this hash token to share the PIN in the correct hash token.

Since snippets are like keywords and broader terms are highly competitive, there are probably plenty of other needles to share with you. Which means your wide crane will be pushed into the stream and people may not see it.

However, the purpose of this broad concept is not the flow of the hashtag. This will help Pinterest index its taps.

You may be able to post the specific clip. Narrower hashtags are less competitive and are more likely to show up in relevant searches in the long run.

Keep in mind that you need both.

 Pinterest SEO and Google SEO

I bet you wondered at one point if I could use the same SEO strategies for Google and Pinterest?

So you’re on the right track, my friend! I am a big fan of more traffic sources. The algorithms on each platform can differ by a cent … and Pinterest is no different. You never know if your account will be marked as spam and (incorrectly) suspended. It happened to our best!

Since we’re already mixing with Pinterest SEO, why not work smarter and trade for the gate with Google?

Many of the strategies used to rank Pinterest are the same for Google. If you research and use keywords for taps and messages, you will get used to SEO doing it all.

Now there are differences between Pinterest and Google SEO done by Google…

To get started, you have to type a message on Google that * reports on others on the same topic (think further, more details, plan better, etc.). But Pinterest can handle 500 words if you create great images with a great title and use the right keywords in the needle description.
So when it comes to Google and Pinterest SEO, know that Pins help you get Google traffic both directly from your posts and indirectly through your Pins.

Packing up!

Have I answered any of your Pinterest SEO questions? I hope so! Here’s a quick  everything we’ve covered:

The latest changes on Pinterest provide additional search options.
SmartFeed uses four criteria to evaluate pins.
Create a business account so Pinterest can create content.
Create a content strategy that you can continuously maintain.
Follow Step 7 to research and add keywords.
If you are happy with Pinterest SEO, go to the Google SEO site.
And don’t forget to share taps that make people want to click, join boards and trunks, and SEO for everything else!

Do you need to register manually or use Tailwind?

Pinterest does not penalize creators who hack Tailwind.

This is really a matter of preference.

I recommend manually recording the first two months so you can hear how Pinterest works and how it uses the platform as an audience.

Is it better to share with tribal councils or groups?

As I mentioned, group boards get quite spammy. But all that is needed is good and can reach hundreds of thousands of people.

Tribes have a greater responsibility than groups because of their rules for sharing. This means that there is no guarantee that members of other tribes will share your touches.

With tribes and groups, it is best to keep an eye on the activity and make sure to contribute with those who have a high level of participation and reciprocity.

What is SmartLoop?

This is a Tailwind tool that will save your common sense! Use it to create continuous loops from pins (similar to BoardBooster’s now broken campaigns). Just specify which pins and boards you want to share on and let Tailwind make the pins for you. You can also set rules for group tables and set specific time intervals for pins.

Do you need to remove the pins?

If you accidentally share the same PIN on a personal dashboard, delete it. Leave them different. You never know when older pins will suddenly take off and turn into viruses. Maybe months and months later.

How do you add keywords to pins?

Add keywords to the pin description, which you can do when you upload your PIN to Pinterest or when you edit the * alt text * of the image in your post. There are also plugins like Social Warfare (affiliate link) and Tasty Pins.

Use the sections from the table?

If you like it, go ahead and make it come true. Make sure to include keywords in the sections so that Pinterest can provide more information about the content. However, I like the cabins more than the cut. If you share the same BROAD table over and over again, you create a table that touches some spaces instead of splitting. You have several distribution options.

Is metadata important for traffic?

Meta tags affect Google rankings and I guess they affect Pinterest rankings too. Meta descriptions, on the other hand, are not ranking factors on Pinterest or Google, but they can help increase traffic.

When people look at the PIN closely, the meta address appears first. Then your meta description and then the description of the needle. All of which should entice people to take the next step and click on your post. A great title and meta description will help.

How are the Rich Pins configured?

These are two very simple steps:

First: add metadata to your site.

Second: request advanced PINs with Pinterest.

The first step is a 1,2,3. I will show you how to do this with Yoast SEO.

Choose SEO> Community in the left bar of Yoast. Then select the Facebook tab and make sure Add Open Graph Metadata is enabled. This should be the standard, but it is recommended that you verify it before proceeding.
Do you write posts for Google, Pinterest, or both?

Once you have mastered Pinterest SEO, you will start working with Google SEO.

If so, I suggest you switch from Google to Pinterest. Suppose you write a post on Pinterest for a week. Do your keyword research in advance, browse popular pins, and add great graphics and a great title – the post is around 800 words long.

Next week you’ll be doing the rounds of Google … keyword research, epic post, great design, long and detailed … everything. This message is incredibly long, like 2.00 words. (Yep)

If you approach SEO in this way, you are likely to get traffic from Pinterest and Google. And you don’t have to spend hours and hours writing a 2,000 word article a week. Take a week break from * Pinterest *.

So you use an SEO strategy for each post.

Can somebody use the same keywords research tools for Pinterest and Google?

You know. It’s very easy to use Pinterest fort keywords and Google tools (Adwords Keyword , Google Search, KWFinder) for Google keywords.

How many boards do you need to make?

Big question! How much you need for the booth and how much you can constantly share. The commitment is great. If you have a lot of personal boards, with little to no engagement, you run the risk of Pinterest completely ignoring Pins.

Should you use a keyword spreadsheet?

I found it useful to include keywords in the worksheet. Since you are most likely blogging about a similar topic, some of the same keywords will show up over and over … having one can save you a lot of time.

The next step

Pin, pin, pin!

Set up your account, start blogging, create PINs, join group and core forums, track what you share and when, and don’t forget Pinterest and Google Analytics. Check what’s working and what to change monthly for consistent results.
