Best SEO Tips for Beginners:

1.Keywords are important because Google can understand the words on your blog.

If you’re posting videos and have a great topic … In the eyes of search engines, it’s arbitrary code.

Specific keywords are important.

What are keywords.
Basically, the keywords come from our audience. When a user types a word or even a phrase, Google provides the best possible results for the search query.

You want Google to rank your site based on keywords so that it can be found in search results.

There are several tools available for finding keywords. You can use the MOZ keyword tool, Ahrefs, the Google keyword planner and Ubersuggest.

These keyword tools have limited free services and fully paid services. You can use the free versions if you are just getting started. Over time, you may want to upgrade.

Using the paid versions will give you access to more data.

I’m using the free version of Ubersuggest to find out exactly which keywords I want to target!

Use long tail keywords.
If your post is about blogging, you can ask the question “how to write a blog post”.

This will be your keyword. Because you use a phrase as a keyword, it is considered a “long tail keyword”. Rather than being a more general word, your keyword is more specific

The keyword tool shows the search volume for your term. The difficulty score is displayed in 2 options. The paid difficulty is related to paid additions.

The difficulty of SEO is related to free organic traffic. Some SEO experts say that for a newer blog looking to rank for a keyword term, choose terms with SEO difficulty below 40

The cost per click indicates that the term is valuable because people are willing to pay to rank the term.

Make sure your keyword is relevant to your topic. Use similar keyword phrases to help Google understand your article.

2. Update title tags.

The title tag is an important factor that Google uses to understand what your blog post is about.

Include your specific keyword in the title tag and keep it below 55 characters.

Google only shows 55 characters in search results, so search engine users don’t read anything extra.

3. Meta description.

Meta tags are the foundation of SEO and one of the first things you add when writing your article.

Keep your meta description within 150 characters and include your keyword. Google will bold any keyword if it is in your description when someone searches.

4Interlink posts.

One of the best ways to let Google know what your post is about is to link it to your own posts with the relevant keywords.

Google uses a process called crawling. Basically, this is how Google reads your site to see the relevance of your content.

By matching different articles to relevant keywords, Google can learn more about your site.

Make sure to link the posts. This helps send signals about your article to Google.

It also helps reduce your bounce rate as more and more people click on your links and visit multiple pages.

5Content is king Seo.

Increase the number of words. (Without sacrificing quality, of course!)

Long-form content is good for Google. Show depth in your writing and create a perception of higher quality content.

Write blog posts of at least 2,000 or 3,000 words. When it comes to longer articles, make sure they are featured – your readers may simply want to analyze your topics rather than reading them literally.

6Add alt text for background images.

Using relevant keywords in image alt text can also help your posts search Google.

7Change your permalink structure.

You want the title of your blog posts to be simple. If you use WordPress to create your site, you can easily select more user-friendly options from the permalink section.

8Install Yoast SEO WordPress plugin.

For non-technical people like me, there is a WordPress plugin that will help us with most of our SEO work. Yoast SEO plugin.

As you write the content, it will give you suggestions so that you can optimize your article.

9Decrease website load times.

Ideally you want your site load time to be 2-3 seconds, much less if you can optimize your site. Google penalizes slow sites.

You can check your site speed using Gtmetrix and other relevent sites.

Reducing load times is an in-depth topic, however, these 3 tips will help you speed up your site considerably.

Compress all your images. I am running a 2 step compression process with my images. First of all, I compress my images manually using img2go.com. It is a free online tool that I have discovered. It works well, it’s easy to use, and it’s FREE! I also use a plugin called WP Smush that automatically compresses any images added to your site.
Use a caching plugin – Simple caching will save your web pages for frequent visitors. Every time they visit your site, the page loads faster because it has been saved. a first time visitor would have a slightly longer page load.
Use the lazy loading option to load images onto your website when a visitor views your posts. This is an option included with WP Smush. Select it and you’re done.
I have read many articles on caching. There are free WordPress caching plugins and paid WordPress caching plugins.

Optimize your blog posts for Google with the following steps:

Add a target keyword to each post
Make sure to optimize your title tags
Write compelling meta descriptions
Make longer posts
Use alt text for images
Intertwine your messages
Change the structure of permanent links
Install the Yoast SEO plugin
Shorten the loading times of websites
Believe it or not, there are so many blogs that don’t have a good SEO structure.

By using this SEO guide for beginners, you can optimize your blog posts, improve the user experience by increasing the speed of the website, and stay ahead of about half of our competitors.
